All candidates must meet:
- Be at least 18 year of age
- Minimum 3 years secondary school, NCEA Level 3 equivalence or PPL theory subject passes
- Hold a current Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Meet the 'Fit and Proper Persons' requirements of CAANZ
- IELTS 5.5 or competence in English Language to meet ICAO Level 4 requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to undertake the programme with a reasonable likelihood of success, evidenced by completion of a compulsory selection interview as well as a clear psychometric test.
